Cut Copy, as a band, has come a real long way since their 2004 debut album Bright Like Neon Love. From getting hooked on their synthy-electro rock, the band has managed to stay together after these years, and still make bigger and better albums. This year Cut Copy started off by riding the wave of hype that followed their November release of Zonascope. A comforting album that didn’t stray too far off of the style from their previous album In Ghost Colours, but managed to pry into ones inner-nostalgic record bank, with tracks like Take Me Over, a track that re-introduced my psyche, to the bouncy beats which would remind anyone of Men and Work’s, Land Down Under or Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer.
