It was a very physical experience once Agnes Obel took the stage. This beautiful woman and her fellow musicians commanded the room. I may even venture to say there was transcendence once the feeling of the bass grabbed my chest. It is not for the faint at heart to stand only meters from the sound source, where the room thumped, my chest thumped and eventually all my attention followed the sound. The crowd was very still – almost like we were following the Pied Piper. This was all matched by the sweetness of the vocals. A real treat.
