With solos that make it feel as if the guitar could burst into flames at any second, Gary Clark Jr. tells it how it is. Nothing but the real deal—no sugar coating on this sound. Mixing the truth in with some blues can make a person emotionally sad. But when you add in some of Clark’s rock and soul it makes you want to take the wheel and drive 120mph on the highway.
His performance at Lollapalooza 2012 was right on par. Clark bent the guitar to his every will and thereby bent the audience to his sound.
