If you like women it’s hard not to like the identical twins comprising Tegan and Sara. They rock. Seriously, it’s not everyday you get to catch a free show (thanks to the relatively new Q87.7 FM Chicago) from a band that’s opening a sold-out venue of over six-thousand people the following night in a small local bar in the heart of Wrigleyville. And it’s not everyday that a band of that caliber will play the small venues. But it’s venues like this one at The Cubby Bear where fans and musicians alike get to connect on a level not possible at the mega-theaters and arenas.
Although their catalog and set lists are full of songs about relationships, which some might find sappy or repetitive, they continually present the material in ways that keep it fresh.
