Making the most of her 21st birthday, singer-songwriter Alix Page opened for ella jane on the second to last show of her Marginalia tour. Alix came out onto the stage accompanied by her bassist and drummer who she had been playing with since high school. The crowd was ready for Alix’s set. Party hats were passed out along with kazoos and posters all in celebration for Alix’s birthday performance.
She played a touching set including some of her more popular songs “Pulling Teeth”, “Radiohead”, and “25”, and she even surprised the crowd with a stripped back version of Wheatus’ “Teenage Dirtbag”. Her dual-abilities on the guitar paired with her strong voice made her set even more impressive. She switched from her acoustic to her electric guitar and proved her stardom throughout the show. Before she left the stage, the unprompted crowd began to sing “Happy Birthday” to Alix, which was an extremely emotional moment for both her and her fans. Alix played a beautiful set that really touched the crowd and was the perfect opener for Ella Jane’s show.
