My Brightest Diamond gave a rock solid performance that did not disappoint. This group has some serious history with Chicago. I did some research on setlist.fm and found that My Brightest Diamond has been performing in Chicago as early as 2006; essentially from the beginning. That’s some serious history. It’s no wonder that Shara keeps Chicago in her tour line up, we appreciate it.
Several things caught my eye during the show. Her awesome red hair and sequin outfit added a sparkle only a diamond could. Her energetic trot across the stage kept the audience’s attention as every few moments she looked out to the crowd to see familiar faces. She also brought along a sax quartet who graciously played for multiple songs and filled the musical register from baritone to soprano.
