On April 25, 2010, Sia Furler and her band stepped onto the stage at Chicago’s Vic Theater which was covered entirely with knit fabrics. Sia brought the new energy from her upcoming album We Are Born, which is faster pace and more complex that her prior releases. At Sia’s website you can listen to some of the new tracks.
Sia really got the crowd not only interested in the spectacle of her show, but also involved. Three different fans were brought on stage to help sign so that anyone hard of hearing would hopefully have the same experience as everyone else. The crowd also brought many gifts for Sia, gifts that eventually made their way from the fan, to the stage… and then into Sia’s pants. It was really amazing to see how cute and lighthearted she truly is considering the emotion and depth of her lyrics and songs.
